Maybe get your truck's battery checked. Sometimes if the voltage is low the alarm goes off.

Hopefully it's something minor. The alarm is only 2 weeks old.

So what was the problem with the false alarms? I've had mine installed (a self installed 5706v) for about 3 months and no problems.

It was the hood trigger sensor. The plastic piece broke. Got it replaced. All good now.

The keysense wire on your truck will connect to the bypass.

Hmmm.... It looks like that's one of the differences between our trucks. The instructions for my 2005 say to use the keysense wire. So maybe you don't have to use it on your truck? [IMG] I'd do what the instructions say. Maybe someone else knows the exact answer.

According to your attachment a few posts ago, you should connect the bypass's 12V wire to the Viper's 12V wire.

Too many to list. See build page. Link in signature
If its the one with a screen, then you have to plug in the charger for about 30 minutes before it starts up. Make sure to fully charge it. If its the non screen 2 way, make sure the plastic battery cover is pulled out and battery is properly installed

the one with the screen still doesnt turn on,.. the one without the screen it does work, but it seems like it doesnt communicate with the viper brain because it does nothing!

Have you completed the pairing process for the remotes? If so, you may want to do it again if the remotes still are not working.

Alarm works, but remote start doesnt work. the relay doesnt make any sound of movement when I click remote start. Like if the brain doesnt send a signal to the relay.. what could be the problem.

edit: headlights flashes 8 times, and remote start error.. 8 flashes means MTS must be enabled, but i have an automatic. how is that possible

Manual transmission mode is the default. You have to change it to automatic mode before you use it.
