    Hi guys,

I figured I show you all my system I have in the Tacoma. This system consists of the following parts:

    Ottonavi Deck
Alpine MRP-M500 Mono Amplifier mounted under the drivers seat
Alpine MRP-F300 Four Channel Amplifier mounted under the passenger seat
Focal Polyglass 165VR Components in the front
Focal Access 165A1 in the rear
JL Audio 10W0v3-4 in a 10" Sealed *********.com box behind the drivers side rear seat

    Here's some pictures!
The install is completely stealth (I have floormats covering the amplifiers, and most passerby's don't think the deck is aftermarket.)

    And, of course, the truck!

    Thanks for looking!

The Ottonav is a good deck... but that's about it.
I bought it because I wanted to retain the stock look of the dash, but if you don't care for that i'd advise you get a different deck.

I do like to maintain the stock look. I'm not looking to do a big stereo upgrade. I got a hide away Kicker to put under the passenger seat and might slowly replace the components. But I'm really looking for a good nav unit that also works well with my back up camera, steering wheel controls, bluetooth and iphone. Do you have any real world experiences to report after having used it for any of these purposes? Much appreciate any feedback. Have been looking at Kenwoods Excelon dnx9990hd but shes pricey. Though I'm a fan of you get what you pay for. Buy it once and buy it right.

I haven't been using the navigation much, but I can tell you that much like other navi decks, it does take a while to boot up and it's not very fast.
It tends to stop your music when you're using it.

I listen to all music through AUX because my iPod has so much music on it I can't scroll through all of it on the deck. huge down for most people, but not for me.

The deck itself is running Windows CE if I remember correct, and I believe that this leaves much open ended-ness for the user if you're into that kind of stuff.

Steering wheel controls work, but if you hold onto the + or - on the steering wheel for more than half a second the volume jumps at an alarming speed and could very easily blow your speakers out.

Bluetooth is beautiful, my favorite part about the deck. I have never had one problem with it and all of my friends can hear me clearly through it (I have the mic mounted above the rear view mirror)

Since I'm so picky about the looks in a truck this nice, I wouldn't have bought a different deck. I used to always get decks + install kits, but with this truck I've been super sensitive about making anything look non-OEM.

I have not used the deck for my rear-view camera, I prefer to keep the camera in the mirror. I just didn't want to have to wait for the deck to boot up (which only takes about 5-10 seconds) to see my camera in the deck to back up. But I have heard it is possible to do this with the Ottonavi. The resolution on the screen seems pretty decent, It looked pretty good with some DVDs when I actually had the DVD portion working.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the input. Nice to get some feedback when forking over the coin for these headunits.

Nice setup, I've heard so many negative things about Taco Tunes, did they give you any trouble with the sub box?

Wow, I haven't been on TacomaWorld in a long time...
Sub box is great, the only thing I regret is that you have to cut out the safety restraints in the rear of the cab before you put it in. Not that I plan on using them, I just hate the fact that I had to cut a part out of the truck that most likely won't ever go back on
