What stereo do I have?!?

Hey guys, got my new (used) 2012 Tacoma. Stereo is, meh.

Wasn't sure if it was the JBL system (is there an upgraded version?) or not. Is there an easy way to tell? Still trying to get all the details of what this truck has. Looked up the Vin to get some info but still needed some info.

Look on the door speakers, the grill on the door panel. If you see JBL, you have JBL

It will also say on the radio.

 

Yeah nothing, so must be just stock stock. Some cool builds on here, going to need to see if I can fit a sub or what to do to upgrade. Seems like a few tricky things that have to be done here and there.

 

Start with a good aftermarket head unit. That will be the big thing. Some people buy the double-din ones..I'm fine with my single DIN Kenwood.
