air bag light comes on when I use my viper rmote start

I installed my viper 5901 remote start myself about a year ago, everything works perfectly except when I use the remote start to start my truck the airbag light stays on even after I put the key in the ignition. I heard this could be caused by the two starter wires being mixed up? Any info is greatly appreciated. And When the airbag light stays on, does that mean the airbags are disabled?
