Looking to see if anyone here has a pioneer avh-x5500 bhs? Was thinking of replacing my kenwood ddx-419. If anyone has personal experience with that unit I'd appreciate if you could let me know what you think of it, i.e. my kenwood suffers badly from glare during the day, also not a fan if the kenwood u.i.

chrome on front painted to match, satoshi grill done by myself, BHLM, billys all the way around with ome springs upfront and LR ucas with wheelers 3 leaf progressive pack in the rear, mb gunner wheels powdercoated black on 285/75r16 nitto trail grapplers, tinted all the way around and on windshield, pioneer dbl din touch screen with two 10's behing the seat and new speakers all the way around and certain interior parts painted to match, also have a road wire leather kit black with red stitching sitting here waiting for me to find time to install it!
honestly i really like the 5500bhs. but at the same time i have never used kenwood? but with the shape of our dashes you will probably still have glare issues with which ever unit you go with..

That's one of the things that Drew me to the pioneer, that it has 6 angles for the face to combat that a Lil better. Also I thought I read that fold down faces won't work in our trucks, and I thought the pioneer had that is this true?

well some of the 7inch monitors slightly move down when opening/adjusting the screen but the pioneer does not it moves straight out when it moves so you shouldnt have problems with it catching..

Kevin, just another couple questions for you.

    1. Does the face fold down so you can insert disks?
-if so does it work properly?
    2. Probably dumb question, do all dash kits listed for xx (year) Tacoma work for any stereo, our do I need a specific kit for that pioneer? Btw I have 06
