new head unit...

Looking to see if anyone here has a pioneer avh-x5500 bhs? Was thinking of replacing my kenwood ddx-419. If anyone has personal experience with that unit I'd appreciate if you could let me know what you think of it, i.e. my kenwood suffers badly from glare during the day, also not a fan if the kenwood u.i.

That's one of the things that Drew me to the pioneer, that it has 6 angles for the face to combat that a Lil better. Also I thought I read that fold down faces won't work in our trucks, and I thought the pioneer had that is this true?

Kevin, just another couple questions for you.

1. Does the face fold down so you can insert disks?
-if so does it work properly?
2. Probably dumb question, do all dash kits listed for xx (year) Tacoma work for any stereo, our do I need a specific kit for that pioneer? Btw I have 06

1. yes it folds down for disk..
2. what year is yours? 05-11 uses the same kit for single and double din.. and 12-13 uses a kit for single din and a different one for the double din.. let me know what year

if you have any more questions feel free to ask

there are 2 different kits
1. 95-8214tb
2. 95-8214tg

the first one is a textured black which i used in my 06 which looked great!
or if you want the same silver/grey get the second kit..
either one of these will work for the double din pioneer
