I have been scratching my head on a "feature" of my wife's 2013 Tacoma and I can't figure it out. We have her phone connected. It's an older Motorola V750. She can call out okay so we know the system works and is connected. We just figured out today that she can answer the phone from the steering wheel buttons IF the phone is in silent or vibrate modes, but not if the ringer is on. Anybody know why that is? Or how to fix it so she can answer a call if the ringer is on? We couldn't find anything about it in the manuals or in the settings on the phone or on the audio unit.

Never seen this, might just be the phone.. Can you replicate the issue on another phone?

try resetting the radio ( take the neg. terminal off the battery for 15mins) and reset the phone ( turn off, let it sit, turn back on)

sometimes small things like this helps?
