Ok I am torn between subs... Either the jl stealthbox, 13.5 tw5, or alpine type r 10 all shallow mount. Which one would you pick f you had a choice? Or which would be the best sounding? I have a hd 900/5 amp so 500 rms to run it. I can't decide and don't want to make the wrong choice. Thank you

O.P. I had a friend with a stealth box and it fit nicely and hit pretty good!

    1,000w

its quite a bit for the cab lol
thinking of changing some time soon to behind the seats (with shallows)

    How much bass you want?
    it could rattle the mirrors..

From what I recall it still leaves you some room behind the seats (single seat).?

Or you could get a box the whole size of behind the seats.

They're all gonna sound pretty good honestly. The stealthbox will be nice, but I think if you want to rattle your teeth, the 13TW5 is gonna be the way to go.

I have an Alpine Type-R 12 Shallow. I went to get the JL at first, but for the price difference of 200$, it wasn't worth it to me (and yes I've heard both in a Tacoma). The Type-R puts out very good, clean bass. SQ it works great in a sealed box, for more bass slap it in a ported box and its amazing. Both seats can fold up and down with rear plastics still on back of seats. I used Alpines 600watt mono block amp to match the sub, sounds great. I found my Type R for 180$ on sale, haven't seen it that cheap in a long time but I don't look a lot.
