Not sure of the Pandora Bluetooth, but when watching one of Alpine's YouTube videos the rep used Pandora by connecting the iPhone to the unit via the cable.

I just installed this same same unit, purchased from Zee as well. Those guys were pretty good to deal with, and I got the whole kit, and the SiriusXM unit and Vais Tech cable for less than the unit alone at MSRP.

I also used the PAC Audio TR7 trigger, and it was easily connected as well.

For my install, I tapped into the factory camera wiring in the drivers fuse panel area. I also used the Vais Tech cable (SMA12M) to connect my SiriusXM unit to the factory shark antenna. No extra antenna to run this way, and it's sleek too. I did install the SiriusXM unit in the same location.

The hardest part of this install....is fitting all the wiring behind the radio into the dash. The steering wheel controls perform flawlessly and work very well, with little to no delay as with some of the PAC interfaces do. The iPod control is awesome, and the factory backup camera integration is sweet.

Bluetooth Pandora works well, but I am using a Droid Razr Maxx, with Jelly Bean. Full content displayed and channel options as well. My phone book is also fully synced too, so caller ID functions well.

The mic was installed in the factory location in the headliner, and it too works well.

I am very happy with the purchase, and the screen is awesome in size and resolution. Functionality is very intuitive, and the unit is well designed.

I couldn't find this particular unit on the website you listed at the beginning of the thread. Are you just calling them and ordering everything that way?

Also, if you're capable of trying this out, it would greatly help me make a decision on buying this unit. I have a personal phone and a work phone. Right now on the stock set-up I have both phones paired and can play my music via BT from the personal while, when a call comes in on my work phone I can answer it using BT and once the call is ended the music from my personal starts right back up.

If you could some testing on that since you have it all nice and installed...I would really appreciate it!!!

Yeah, I just called and asked for Zee. He was really easy to work with.

As for testing your scenario, I won't be able to get to test anytime soon. Perhaps the others whom stalled will be able to give it a shot pairing two phones and playing audio, then calling the other.

    Good luck!

Cool!!:) I am going to have to check out the cable to connect to the factory XM antenna. That is what I would like to accomplish without having to add another one on the roof. How is the signal? Also did you disconnect the rearview mirror backup screen?

The cable was the SFA12M - I noted the wrong part number before.

Though pricey, it is worth the cost. Reception is great, and I've had no loss. It connects behind the driver kick panel.

The SiriusXM unit that is compatible with this unit is only $45 on Amazon too.

I retained my mirror video as well. My coax video cable that I attached to the vehicle's wiring was done via solder. I have little to no fuzz in the feed. If I want to, I could turn off the camera feed in the mirror, but I find I actually use both. I don't expect I will for long though, especially since the Alpine allows you to move the caution banner to the bottom of the screen, giving better visual of the camera.

Before I sold my Audi in Feb, my Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH in it would display the name of the caller and pandora info all via BT. I couldn't thumbs up/down via BT though. iPhone 5 btw.

Was the SiriusXM tuner SXV200V1 that you used?

Indeed it was. It has an SMC connector for the antenna, so no fitment issues at all. And jeez, talk about a sweet piece. The SXV200v1 is tiny, and no extra power is required. The HU powers it.

Did you guys use the easy setup they have installed on the HU? If so, how do you like that feature?

If you mean the easy setup equalizer/sound settings, I did. It sounded not so good to me, and I couldn't figure out how to remove it. So, I restored to factory defaults.

I prefer my own settings to the Alpine easy setup.

If you're referring to the easy install dash kit, I used that too. It made the install a breeze.

    I still have mine.

It's the plain ol' stocker, non-jbl, but in the shiny finish.

If you're interested, shoot me a PM.

I have a question for those of you who own this radio and have sirius xm......

Are you getting station logo's or album art to display for Sirius? I can get the album art to work on some HD radio channels, and cd's / ipod when the mp3's have the album art embedded. So I know it works, I just can't get anything to display for any Sirius XM channels.

Negative, I have the same things. Nothing for SiriusXM, only a box where the art would be that says "Tag".

Artwork for me, so far, is limited to Pandora, iPod, and HD Radio.

Does the Alpine with the perfect fit kit and harness automatically draw the video off the stock backup camera or do you have to tap into those wires and feed it to the inputs? I'm wondering if I can make it available at all times kinda like a rear view mirror since my back window is often so covered with dirt I can't see directly behind me while driving...

No, you would have to tap into it separately.

I hear it's possible, but I haven't tried it so I can't offer you any advice.

Good luck and keep us posted!

OP, I am about 30 minutes from pulling the trigger on purchasing that exact head unit. Your piece was very informative about the hidden costs, mainly from additional cables required to maintain as close to a 'factory' look. My question to you is since the install of your Alpine INE-Z928HD, do you retain the functionality of the AUX port located directly below the factory USB port? It really isn't important now, but further down the line, who knows. I will continue to search for a definitive answer and update this post as required.
