Alpine Type R Door Help Install

Well, I'm trying to avoid running new wires to the HU and just tapping into the old ones.

1.) I have taken out the stock speakers.
2.) I have installed the alpine type-r components (6.5)
3.) I ran the Tweeter wire coming OUT of the crossover into the tweeter.
4.) I ran the crossover input wire down to the new main speaker
5.) I spliced the (+) and (-) from the crossover input wire down to the main speaker INTO the wires that previously ran into the lower speaker.

Positive to the light green and negative to the dark blue.

I turn the head unit on for a test and get nothing. Am I missing something or do I need to do something with the wires that previously ran to the old tweeter? (I LEFT THE STOCK TWEETER WIRES COMPLETELY ALONE)

I'm trying to knock this thing out tonight if anyone can give some input. I feel like its a small mistake somewhere on my part.

EDIT: I spliced the tweeter wires together at the top (green and green, blue and blue) now the front speaker work fine but NO sound from the rear speakers... WTF?

The 6.5 has 4 terminals on it, 2 coming from HU and 2 to go to the crossover or tweeter. That's how mine are wired.... Not spliced.
Good luck
