I have a 3' Firestik on my Tacoma. I used the Relentless Fab. bracket and I love it. But the 3' is really taking a beating going in and out of the garage. It (the door) has already knocked the cap off the antenna twice. If I go to a 2' one, will the reception suck? I don't think it will be much higher than the roof. I guess I could even put a spring on it and give it about 3" more height.

    Perfect answer...

Unless you need that "RADIO" to get out everywhere,Why not and if you can get your SWR's to work with a 2' ...Keep the 3' for those times you "feel" the need ...definetely will not make any $$$ on a heavily used one....;)
