I really wish i would have taken photos before, during and after... but i only have a few photos...
i have one of the pile of goodies pre assembly
i have two of the assembly
one of the work in progress
and the grande final of the completion is coming... it was 0130 when i finally got finished. i started at about 1400 with it in mind that i am driving home a finished project regardless what time it is. anyway, didnt get the "after" photo yet...
the plans for the box are up for grabs if anybody wants them... i will have to sign them in the pdf youll get as they are my plans i drew out, pm for plans... i didnt build the box, i mapped it out and took it to the cabinet shop my mom works at and one of the homies there made it... 50 buck it cost me materials+labor. interior space is 0.78ft^3. 3/4" mdf was used and wilsonart laminate to make it stiffer as well as skip on the typical felt to have it match the interior plastics.

Head Unit: OEM Panasonic 6.1" Touchscreen via High-Low
    Amp: Kenwood eXcelon x500-1
    Box: Custom 0.78ft^3 Sealed
Sub: Kicker 07CVR104 Coils in Parallel 2 ohm load

i may also design a version 1.1 to have the shade of black match closer and round the bottom corners with a file to match the curve and line of the lower tray... i also need to come up with something crafty to keep it from sliding. when it slams the box shakes all around. im thinking a strap but i dont wanna kill the look.

what do you think of taking a formed block of mdf shaped to fit in the pocket of the tray? thinking about affixing a block as such to the bottom of the box to keep it from sliding around which it does do... when im parked and pushing about 50% capacity and the whole box starts vibrating around. i do like the sound, havent had a sealed box in a long time and technology wasnt back then what it is now. back on topic, trying to figure out a solution for the box sliding... i tried staps... the problem is that the hooks dont fit the angled ancor points with the box so close... it marks up the laminate. and i kind of dont want to kill the look with straps anyway unless they were yellow with kicker stiched in it ;-)

here is the best diagnostic tool ive ever had at my side... proved very useful during install... needed some pinouts for the acc wire to the deck and two rear speaker outs to put the high to low converter

does it actually mount to the floor?

if not, that is a nice easy to steal setup!

Just a bunch of old crap
That would be my worry. Too visible to prying eyes that want to bust a window and have an easy grab-n-go setup. Hope you bolted down the box before putting that speaker in.

yea i need to do that asap... it would also solve the problem of it sliding around... im thinking something long the lines of brackets from the bottom sides of the box to the plastic tray and im up for ideas...

Isn't there a mounting plate for the rear center console under there still? I'm planning on building something like this at some point, and planned on using that mount to hold the box. Drill holes in the bottom of your box and run bolts down into the mount, then install your sub itself, solid as a rock.

    PM sent.

i think i may draw another to make a double 10... i have found the point when the single 10 peaks it performance and wont push any harder. i am likely going to make go up to the top height of the back wall... i am likely going to fill that little pocket behind the box as it sits now... and i am likely going to gobble up that plastic tray... gotta put a few things on paper the make a mock up before i put any drawings up of this one

i dont mind so much the "industrial" look with the turnbuckles... i actually think some stainless will look nice with the black finish

that is pretty damn clean but too small and im no good and glass... i hate fiber! always around that stuff at work and i dont even have to touch it... just be around it and my body itches the whole night! thats an 8 inch? i may need to redesign mine to accomodate 2 10's because the single isnt going to cut it for long
