Soooooooo I am thinking of doing a single 12w1v2 in a ported fiberglass box in my 2008 DCSB. I should be able to get the 1.75 of air space at 250 watts rms. Any thoughts???? Or should I just keep my 2 Memphis PR10's pushed by 600 + rms in a sealed ( but slightly smaller then ideal) enclosure.

Depth is usually as much of a problem with a 12, as airspace is for a ported 12. I assume that you've checked that.

The 12w1 is shallower the the Memphis PR10S4V2 that I have now, and the JL is not vented from the back. So should be fine. Just wonder if I will be any louder or much deeper bass.

1.75ft of airspace? I'd love to see the box dimensions that you came up with to get 1.75 of airspace. This box takes up the entire rear wall, can't fold the seats down and from what Taco tunes tells me is 1.0ft of airspace. I'm curious to how you squeezed another .75 back there.

So what did you end up going with? I wanted to run a 12 too.
