amp-subwoofer help

yesterday i tried installing by jbl amp into my stock deck in my tacoma. i couldnt find any of the spots to plug in my amp? is it possible to even hook up the amp to a stock unit? or do i need to put my alpine deck in there from my other truck?

you will need to go buy a LOW INPUT CONVERTER to install any amps to your stock headunit

Correction you "could need". If your amp has a speaker-level input(S), Ur fine. Just splice a speaker wire and connect it

Soul is correct. If you want to save money and have a cleaner install, look for an amplifier that comes with high level inputs. That way you can splice into the factory speaker outputs and connect to the amp. If your amp doesnt have this, you will need to purchase the high to low level converters which takes more time and usually gives you more noise problems. Personally, I prefer to replace the factory radio. Makes everything alot easier and sounds 100% better. If you are on a budget than the converter is right for you.
