help with ipod(?) adapter

Hi,

I just bought an 06 tacoma and it came with a wire coming through the little compartment next to the stearing column. It has a plug on it that fits into the headphone jack and I am assuming this is for an Ipod or some other music player. (see photo)

I plugged it into my ipod but I can't get it to work. I have the stereo with the disk changer, but there is no AUX mode and I can't get the ipod to come up in any mode.

Any ideas??

Try pressing the CD button twice. I have an adapter and I have to do that. Don't know if it'll work though since that looks like an aux jack but give it a shot anyway.

 

It could be an FM modulator too. They work when you tune to a certain FM station. Usually something below 90.0. Play around with it.

 

Are you a physics professor?

 

Follow the wires behind the dash and find out where it goes.....
