I just had a couple of 6x9 speakers installed in the front doors. The guy told me he had to cut out the exsisting speakers and attach my new speakers to the old bracket to install the new one. Now the inside door panel does not fully clip into the door at the bottom because the speaker sticks out too far. Would it make a diff if a got the brackets from ********* and changed them out?

What's the mounting depth of the new speakers?

also you may have to take off any sort of grill on the speaker. The plastic one build into the door panel is more than enough protection. Also make sure you have the door panel mounting BEHIND the upper most lip on the bottom of the window. I missed this and it causes some frustrating experiences where the door panel would clip on everywhere except the bottom.

Hey Marv, I believe the bottom depth is 3 11/16

You most definitely need to have the proper baffle/adapter (the way they did it is not proper!) and if that is the correct mounting depth you will probably need to trim some of the plastic on the inside of the door panel.

Would the ********* baffles work in my case? I am thinking I am going to go back to the guys who installed and have them redo it
