Pioneer SPH-DA02 AppRadio

Installed a Pioneer SPH-DA02 AppRadio today. Great Radio IF you are on a tight budget and want a nav/monitor this might be right for you. $139 from Crutchfield with dash kit and wiring harness. Took me an hour to install.

There were so many complaints with the original AppRadio. The price is very low, and there is a reason. AR3 just came out and at $399, it is still TBD if it is a good replacement over AR2 (which was a big improvement over original AR, but still lacking).

Bottom line. If you can run ARLiberator on your android phone, DO IT. If you have iPhone and are on a jailbreakable version, DO IT and run ARExtensions. This makes the AR line of headunits actually pretty nice.

What's this ARExtensions you are talking about and why is it so good?

Google it. Full iPhone control. not just the specific apps they tell you are AppRadio compliant. Really more the way that it should have been implemented. Although from what I read AR Extensions are not as good as ARLiberator (android).
