JBL/nonJBL

I tried the search but could not find the info I am looking for. What is the main difference between JBL and nonJBL? I have a 2010 Tacoma with a non JBL radio and have been looking to upgrade to a 6 disc unit. When looking thru the buy/sell/trade section I keep seeing the designation of JBL non JBL. Why wont they interchange?

 

non-jbl has weak speakers and no amp/subwoofer
you can convert from non-jbl to jbl but it involves buying new speakers and an amp and running wiring
not difficult, but can get spendy
and time consuming

Just get a non jbl 6 disc, change your factory speakers and it will add a major difference to sound . You can also get a line out converter to hook up an amp and a sub which is what I did and sounds awesome.
