    Hey guys!!
I'm good friends with a local installer. I showed him my truck and told him what I wanted to do. Use the space behind the rear seat passenger side for a sub box with a 10 and mount the amp under the pass seat. We took the molded plastic piece out. He kept it about 2 weeks and designed a box. The sub is a Kicker shallow mount. I also had a nice Kicker component set placed in the doors. A small Kicker 300watt amp powering the sub. Well, I got to his shop Tuesday and dropped my truck off. Here's what I found. IMG_6592_72f795eeeee9e4faf22a80a1e5c470f99cf01d8a.jpg

To my amazement, this thing sounds great!!! I've been in car strereo for 20+ years and I'm blown away how good it sounds. Even the installer is blown away. He says, we got lucky and hit one of those magical combinations.

I've been listening to so much music since then, just to see how it performs and I'm just grinning from ear to ear.

For the money I guess I could have easily bought a JL stealth box, but now I dont regret it one bit. I sat in the parking lot at work last night for 20 minutes just listening to stuff.

    Anyway. Thanks for looking!!

That does look very nice. I'm glad that worked out.

I did buy the stealth box for my 2013 w JL XD700/5 and JL C5 speakers. Arrives Monday. I'll be posting up too and hope I have as good of a result as you did.

    Looks clean, props

Thanks Argo!! Let me know how you like that Stealth box. I was interested in how it sounds.

Looks like I need to do a little cleaning. There's some dust in there.

    Looks Great !!! :D

Do you have to keep the seat folded down to prevent the woofer cone from hitting the back of the seat?
