Who still uses their CD player?

I still use my going around town when I am bored with the commercials on the radio. I have an 06, so no bluetooth or aux port for me. On long rides, I use a FM transmitter which works really good.

 

yeah I remember when those came out. I got one and installed it into the glove box. Playing some Creedence Clearwater Revival etc...

 

Yes I keep some back up mixes for when my iPod dies haha

 

I wish the 06's had the mp3 option.

 

Still use the CD player - easiest way to get my band mixes out of the studio and into the truck for road testing.

 

I have not put a CD in a vehicle since 2006 when I started using the Aux input and the MP3 player built into my various Garmin GPS units.

Now starting a couple of years ago, Garmin deleted the MP3 player, but most HUs now have either a USB input, a spot for an SD card, or an Ipod interface.
I bought a Nano just for that purpose.

 

YouTube, Pandora, mp3, etc over BlueTooth
Radio for everything else

 

I love putting a shitty CD in the CD player when my car has to go into the dealership. When I had my subwoofer, I'd turn it out up and have it on the basses song. As soon as they turn it on, I know it's my truck that's being picked up. That's pretty much the only time that I use it. My Iphone is always plugged in. I remember one time it was in the shop and they forgot how loud it was and was all through the shop, made me laugh. At least I knew my truck was done. I don't do that anymore though.

 

I use it for the occasional audio book from the library.

 

used it for the first 3 days of owning only because the previous owner left an elvis cd in it. Now I use strictly b/t or pandora, or am fm

 

The radio is useless these days, CDs are all I use. And I know I'm not old school because I'm only 24 lol.

 

Nope.... Got all my music on my iPod thru USA Spec.

My CD player is used for my cell phone holder!

 

In my '11 I have the JBL 6 disc mp3 CD changer. That's about 4gb worth of music spread out on 6 discs.

 

Still use my cd player when I drive into work....radio dosent reach that far down the road.

I do use my cassette player. but only to hook up the 3.5mm jack for my phone.

 

I use my CD player daily.

 

I use it once or twice a week when there is nothing decent on XM or FM radio.

 

Constantly. I don't own an MP3 player, nor do I download music. I find a noticeable loss in sound quality. My collection is about 1000 CDs and I'm always buying more.

I also listen to a lot of underground and hardcore music that never got played on radio, even if I bought satellite I'm not sure I'd hear it.
