Wow. Way to be a urethra, man. Congrats.

How does one figure out through the quote, how to link to the op? Is it a drop down menu somewhere?
I have about three hours a week of ability to be on-line. So organizing isn't gonna happen on my part. But I found it confusing and informative at the same time. But a tad on the confusing side.

I ordered the CTEK Multi US 25000
    http://smartercharger.com/products/batterychargers/ctek-multi-us-25000/
The company contractor I work for has used it for a few years on multiple systems.

I've read through 25-30 threads online through the past three months getting info on them. From memory, two Sears reviews mention it. An few Ih8mud threads mention it... Odyssey has said to recommend a 40 A charger specifically ment to charge AGM batteries .

I can dig through my server for the actual links to the posts I mentioned when I have the time. Which isn't gonna be soon. lol

Let me know how that Charger works out Ian. Get some pics when you finally get it in house too. Weatherized is a great feature.

I received the charger but it was doa. Bad sign, but it looked used with greasy prints all over it. It was from a store on Amazon. Doubt I'll go through them again... Manufacturer has a two year warrantee.

It's not going to be mounted to the truck. Ive come across some multi bank vehicle mounted units online. But this particular charger is more "shop" orientated.

Still waiting on a reply from CTEK to see if my honda eu 2000 generator can power the charger. I'd like to go solar but not sure if the lower amperage of the panels will damage the batteries. The honda is super efficient but it won't charge my makita charger.

Yeah, thats where the TRUE SINE WAVE inverters come into play vs the MODIFIED SINE WAVE.

Unfortunate on the charger. The Optima 1200 I have just brought back a Deka battery I have from 7.2V! - Digital read out on the charger really made me realize that i need to pay more attention to the drain.

did you atleast take a couple pics of it?

Really though, i noticed they had a dual input version. For solar input. You should look into that style.

Yeah pure sine is the way to go. My solar instructor was telling me most newer technology coming out won't be needing pure sine. So idk.
It's weird, the makita charger works in my buddies oem 2nd gen bed inverter.

I was talking to my solar tech at a near by "Off grid" store. And he said maintaining batteries add hugely to their life. He has a buddy with a sweet series/parallel 6v golf cart battery array in his unimoog. It must weigh 600lbs. :jellydance:

I'll get pics when the new one arrives and test it out. I still need to also get with my welder and figure out how to mount my second batt and maybe a third.
Hmm. Where at? Who makes it? I look into it.

Yes, I saw a dc fed charger, but I didn't go over the specs. From the description It seemed the charger was only dc input.

Yes, I saw that too. I'd be more interested in C, AA or AAA rechargeable lithium batteries in my local supermarket, to be honest. $3000 for a car battery is hilarious. If they came with a twenty year warranty I'd be interested. They're badass, no doubt... But that price is ridiculous.

I like the look of this one.
    http://lithiumpros.com/shop/12v-startingdeep-cycle-lithium-powerpack-with-bms/

Paired with this, should be nice. It would shave off LOTS OF WEIGHT in the front of my truck.
    http://lithiumpros.com/shop/12v-deep-cycle-lithium-powerpack-with-bms/

    I have 2 of those X2 31M's @ 78lbs each x 2 = 156lbs!
    the Lithium Pros 29lbs + 31lbs = 50lbs!!!!

    156lbs
    -50lbs
    -------
106lbs of weight I would save if I spent the monies on these monsters.

Problem? Amp Hours and cost prohibitive. Each of my current battery are 205Ah. Alternatively the Lithium ones would be 100Ah each. Oh and cost of $3,200 for the Lithium.

Your right. But weight savings in certain applications is awesome. Overland, Racing, situations like that.

You're getting 200AH from the bank or individual battery?

Damn. LOL. I was ready to drive 150 miles to return my diehards for those 200ah 31M's!
Yeah, but a DC 25A continuous feed for more than an hour and not killing your battery is pretty impressive.

Are you still using the Bluesea ML-ACR?

Yep. I love it. Been selling the RTMR's and RFRM's to try and fund the Monitor Switch I designed/ posted up a couple pages back.

The company that will make these for me want a ridiculous amount of them purchased and paid for before they build.

There are the led's on the switch that indicate different things on with the ACR and the Battery states. Thats straight from blue sea/ bussmann. I just want to add monitors.

ACR is the way to go in my opinion. It was build specifically for charging and battery monitoring by a huge company. Sealed, etc.
