    Thanks for the info.

In seeing where people hook up their winch, it's almost 50/50 on what people do. I'm getting everything piece by piece, and when I finally get to the install, I should have my mind made up.

Called concentric wiring. The core is 3 wires at 10 gauge wrapped in 1 direction and the 2nd layer is a total of 11 wires at 16 gauge that are wrapped in the opposite direction. It is the same technique that they use on race cars/trophy trucks/buggies. Pain in the ass..........

True. You also need about an extra foot of wiring for every 4 or so feet of total length of the harness.

Yep it will be there. And for sale at the end of the summer, PM me if you want any info.

    ^^^^Exactly like that video.

But the boxes you make are already awesome. If you did this the boxes could not contain all the awesome and would explode. And for the number that you do it would take a ton longer.

Anyone have experience with the Piranha Offroad system?

    http://

I like the simplicity of it, and the price! The only thing it's lacking that IBS and others have is a way to manually link the batteries for high load operations or self jumping.

I emailed the guys at Piranha and asked about this and they said you could wire up something to link the batteries but didn't go into much detail. They told me to call and talk with them but I don't think I can just phone Australia...

So can I add a solinoid to link the batteries and just actuate it from a toggle switch in the cab? I'd have to be careful to remember to unlink them before too long. I think the IBS system separates after 30 minutes.

Would this be safe for the electrical system, both factory and aux? How could such linking be acheived?

Cost vs benefit in there. As the guy stated, sometimes you have to add additional wires to properly balance out the harness. I know to over half the client base I have currently, that extra wire in there would confuse the hell out of them. Not to mention the increase of diameter of the harness. The harness I make now barely fits through the stock nipple as it stands with just the minimal amount of wires in it.

Yeah I know what you mean. I just trimmed the filler wires at the end so they don't come out of either end of the heat shrunk part of the harness. I just got in the heat shrink today and I'll put up some pics. I have a total of 3 of the harnesses's completely done now. So only one more really large one to do.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention........I also added another wire grommet to the firewall for all my other wiring that wouldn't fit in the stock one.

Here you can see the extra filler wires....

And the Heat shrink tubing I got.....
