My 09 does not have an aux jack down near the cup holders but the heade unit has disk/aux on it. I thought that was weird. Any ideas why? Didn't think an aux jack would be an option. My headunit should be good to go if I just add the aux jack and cable correct? Any websites where I can pick up the cable?

An '09 TRD should have the AUX input down by the cupholders. Stupid, I know, but are you sure you have a 2009? If so, has the dash ever been replaced?

There is a write up on how to add an AUX 3.5mm input to the stock HU.. You'll need to take it out, open it up, and solder some parts into it. Use the search it shouldn't be hard to find it.

or buy a GROM audio usb that just uses the cd1 on back of unit and then have usb/aux/ipod connections.

No, it's def an 09. I've got the back up camera and side curtain airbags. Stamp on the door says 09 as well. Only thing down there is the A-Trac button

I think I've read that but it was for the 05-08 head units. I have the 09 head unit so shouldnt there already be a connector in the back of it?

No the connector won't be on the back but you can add one. From what I can tell the 08 vs 09 won't be much different but I've never opened both side by side to see if it will work.

Worst case you could go to the guide and open it up and see if it looks the same.
