2013 oem headunit into 2011 truck

Friend has a oem 2013 head unit he let me use temporarily and when I went to hook up today. I plugged in all the wires but 2 that I guess i didn't have. When I went to turn the key on. Everything would light up but the screen to show radio stations etc..... I was wanting to know. What could be making this happen.

 

Rookie mistake. Forgot to press the power button. Hahaha

 

Did you have to trim anything or did it just slide in and plug up?

 

Do you have it working now? I am interested in doing this as the aux-in on the 11 radio has a very low volume level. Does the '13 radio work well with usb/aux inputs? Did you buy new connectors to hook it up or was it plug and play?
