I have a 2013 double cab with the factory touchscreen (w/o JBL upgrade) and i really want to replace my factory speakers. The last thing i want to do is replace my head unit since i like keeping things as stock as possible. Not only that but i like the factory head unit, there really is no need to replace it. Is this a possibility, or is it pointless to replace the speakers without changing the head unit.
I know this question has to have been asked on here before, but i appreciate yall's help.
    Thanks!

Yes, you can replace speakers without replacing the head unit.

yes you can replace your stock speakers. Something low powered around 20 watts RMS should be ok. Don't expect great improvements in sound but it should be better than the stock speakers.

Keep your hu...upgrade speakers...power them with an amp...and buy my lc6i unit to adjust sounds properly.

Great, thanks for all the responses guys. What i got from this is that it isnt worth it. I'm gonna take a deeper look into the amp option, looks like my best bet.
    Thanks again
