Lowered 3/4, debadged, led tails, projector headlights with hids, billet grill, blacked out windows, painted front and rear bumper and grill shell. Inside, 4 crappy 15's, suede wrapped headliner and door panel inserts, alpine double din, few painted pieces inside, and every led is either blue or white.
Seatbelt bolt issue? I haven't heard about that. Sounds like a pretty serious issue. Thanks I appreciate it.

I managed to get some work done on the roof to help strengthen it up some. I used 1/2" birch and 1/4" steel. Cut the wood to size and secured it with the steel brackets then spray three cans of great stuff in-between the birch and roof and also the box and roof. Definitely better than before but I am still going to put deadener over everything.

Not much of an update but I just wanted to show how the wiring will look for the amp. Once I get the second amp on the other side it will be the same.

Also I should go ahead and say that it might be a few weeks before I make anymore progress on this. I am going to be moving in a couple weeks and need to focus on that. Also I really need to start trying to get a job. I have been out of work for over a month now so the sooner I start bringing in money again the better.

lol no. It would have been a lot easier to do a blow through but I really wanted to keep everything inside the truck. It will be louder though once I get the second amp and the electrical up to par.

I love these threads. Was subb'd to the previous one too. Never heard of structurally reinforcing the roof that's nuts! But makes sense. I guess the windshield can take a fair amount before it pops out?

Any reason you chose the sound deadening you did over dynamat, fatmat, b-quiet or any of those?

My favorite part is where op talks about sound quality, puts 5k into subs and runs stock paper door speakers

Thanks. I am just trying to cut down on how much the roof is flexing. I was loosing output with the roof doing that plus it was causing some annoying noises. I still need to do more to make it better though.

Several reasons, main one is that the quality is far better than any of the mainstream brands. This brand has a much thicker material and the second big reason is the cost. For the amount that I got it would have cost at least twice as much to go with a brand like dynamat.

Not sure where I talked about sq? Obviously I'm not going for sq lol. The guys that have sq setups will usually only have one small sub so that everything is flat on an rta. Also the speakers are not stock in my doors. They are aq audio. Don't worry there are plans for the mids/highs, I just want to get the substage all done first then I need to find the money for that;)

I have heard a few bad things about skar. Most of them seem to deal with customer service though and I definitely agree with that. I don't want to deal with Kevin from skar anymore for several reasons. So far though the subs are holding up fine even though I'm only on a third of the power. I also do have a voltmeter it just isn't hooked up yet. I'm planning on making a panel to hold a new voltmeter with some temp meters for the amps and switches as well. I do know someone with a term lab but I'm not planning on metering it until I have the second amp.

Nice, that is a bad ass sub. I will get it on the meter one day because I am curious as well. I'm not expecting to do crazy numbers with this though just because of how many subs there are and how low I tuned it to. I wouldn't be surprised if there are phasing issues that would hurt me on the meter but all well lol. I just want it to sound loud.

I guess it depends on how you define loud, but in my car I am just running 450 Watts RMS to 2 Polk Audio 12's and it is definitely in the range of what most would call loud. It'll rattle the windows in your house if I am parked on the curb. haha I'll bet your setup is going to be louder than mine so no worries on the loud part. haha

You're tuned lower than I am. Well I'll definitely post some numbers up whenever I get it metered.

Op how did you mount your alternator and hook it up? I'm running a Sundown Saz-2000D and a Sundown Zv4 10", with the big three with 1/0 and big wet cell and my electrical just can't keep up. I've been looking to do a HO alternator but nobody makes anything for the 2.7L second gen Only the 4.0 and idk if that'd be compatible with our 2.7L. Contacted DC power and they said they had something in the works months ago but never got back to me about it. I'd love to see how you got your alternator installed and wired up.
