That is why I only like the ones where both the stator AND rotor are replaced. I have a 140A unit in my 2.7 1st gen. It outputs 150A at 1600RPM, and 100A at idle. Drives my two amps with no problem at idle. (1000W sub amp "2X500W" and 1000W mid-high amp "2X600" and "2X400") I am only running dual 12s for sub, and a pair of Rockford Fosgate R1675-S 6.75" mids in the rear, with Pioneer TS-A1305C 5.25" mid/high in the doors. I got a cheap crossover from Planet Audio, but it works for me. I'm not exactly competing or going for earth-shattering sound. Lol. I also run a 2.4farad capacitor, and dual batteries in the truck. Not the prettiest set up like you have here. Yours is some SERIOUS quality and work for sure. I'd be embarrassed to post pictures of mine here. lol.
he dont make for high output at idle?

I wish I could say that progress has been made but I have not touched this in a while besides doing a few small things here and there. I bought another truck about a month ago and most of my interest and money has been going towards that truck now. I have been burnt out on this for a while now anyways so I figure having something else to mess around with for a while might help me to eventually regain interest on finishing this.

Here is my new truck. It's a 96 ranger that's bagged and bodied on 20's

Rangers are more difficult then most since they aren't as popular. Especially the pre 98's since they have twin ibeams in the front instead of control arms.

Not true,
Sadly my tacoma Windshield went at 156.x @ 55hz

Op, Its nice to see another big build in a second gen. I had mine walled with 4 btw neo n3 15s on 2 big amps but due to the obvious restrictions with such an install i removed the entire thing.

New set up is awaiting to go in : half wall, 8 12s sealed 4 2kw amps 2 big 4 channels, 4 8s and 4 tweeters per door. ITs been a VERY slow build

Do you have any pictures of the old system? I'd like to see it.

Body work has started on the box. Me and a buddy spent about 4 hours on it last night sanding away. It's getting there.

I can see what I can dig up, I ripped it out just after 1/2 completion,
I find myself downsizing continuously to gain more space for other goodies
