Can I put 2nd gen speakers in my 1st gen?

    Uhhh... because when I take a shit I don't hand one to my friend and say "You wanna put this in your toilet?"

    Stock speakers suck, but the stock head unit is detuned to accommodate them. JBL maybe better, but still won't touch aftermarket.

    I'm willing to bet that some 2013 speakers are a ton better than 95 speakers. Seems worth it to me of they fit.

    I dunno.
    Doesn't hurt to try. I mean, if they're free, what is the value of your time in pulling the door panels to make the swap?
    IMHO, if I'm going to pull the panels, I'm going in with something proven good.

    Dude you would be better off to go get some speakers from Walmart. I have the JBL and I personally like them its just the subwoofer is weak it needs a little more oomph to it.
