I did a search on which brand is better and found out Metra is better built than Scosche. Now my question is which model to buy? I’m going with a double din stereo (Pioneer AVH-X2500BT) and is going in my 05 tacoma if that helps. Also, I notice some dash kits includes the wire harness, do I really need that if I’m planning on running new (thicker) wires from hu to amp and then all new speaker wires? Thanks for your help in advance

Radio On Mod, Complete new stereo with 10" subs, Truxedo bed cover, GT-MAT through doors and rear cab.
I found that both kits were kind of cheap feeling, but considering the price and how seldom I would ever remove the stereo, they both do a fine job. I ended up using the metra kit.

I did not get the wiring kit since I only used the power, memory, and ground lines from the existing wires (I too ran all new wires - see my link below).

Thank you. Yes, I like where you put your bass knob, I think I'll be doing that same mod.
