I have a 2000 prerunner. it has a pioneer deh-x6500bt that I installed when I got it. well im supposed to be buying a clarion double din, since the truck had an aftermarket radio in it when I got it can anyone tell me how to install the double din without the factory brackets because theres a plastic dash kit in there now that I dint think a double din will fit in?

You did not use the stock brackets to mount the stereo and dash pocket? That is how mine worked...
