CB Antennae mount in bed

I saw this somewhere a while back but I can;t find it. Im not sure what forum it was on but I think it was here on TW...

Anyways there is a guy who has his CB antennae mounted on the rails of his bed but its attached to like a swivel kind of mount so he can put the antennae laying down or push it up when he is using the CB.

Anyone know who/what thread that is in? I really want to do that this weekend but I want to know what mount he used. Thanks!

All i did was go to the local truck stop, get a mirror mount and only use the flat plate, it already has the holes tapped, a well known truck stop will have the flip down to. It just screws into the mirror mount.

 

Josh, how did you end up running the Coax from the bed to the cab?

 

There are a number of rubber plugs on the underside of the cab. I used the one on the drivers side just above the frame in between the front and back seats. If you would like I could snap a few pics after I get off of work in about 10 hours.

Thats basically what I want to do. So you used a mirror mount so mount the antennae to the rails and just got a flip down piece? Im sure I could find that at a local hardware store.

 

You''ll probably have better luck at a truck stop or a radio shop, if there is one around your area, as for the coax i ran it through the big plug under the driver seat, easy to get to. and after i ran the wire through the plug i reinstalled the plug and put a bead of sealant around it. The only downside is the small hole that you have to cut in the carpet, no big deal. And the mount has a handy pre drilled hole for the ground wire, which i ran from the antenna to the body mount that sits near the plug that the coax is ran through.
