A great place to hide the Pioneer USB100 and HD

Okay finally I have got the time to do what I wanted with the USB adapter! There is a shelf directly above the glovebox and is perfect for hiding the device and there is enough room to get the 60 GIG drive in too. All you need to do is pop off the glovebox, take out the 10mm screw on the panel above and carefully remove it, add what you want and fasten it back up again! Simple and a 10 minute job, lots nicer than running wires everywhere. Also I have got a few shots of the headunit with the menu options available to me.

running the microphone

I just picked up the same head unit as you. How did you run the microphone wire and where did you install the mic?

It runs up the the door frame and I have it sat on my sun visor. The installer had it at the top of the door frame support but I had them move it. Its an amazing head unit.

thanks for the quick reply.
I just installed the unit today. what a difference!
I still have the stock speakers, but will likely swap them out; don't know yet if I'm brave enough to install the subs like on tacotunes.
like you, I also got the USB-adapter and I think I might mimic your setup.

The prices have dropped a bit since I got mine. I paid $325 plus installation. We had a hard time with the USB hub because he forgot wire it live. Oh well. It all works well, sounds great and naturally my wife would love to have it in her car now.... Typical.
Speakers and or Kickpods next.
