Is it possible to use an aftermarket Sirius XM with the 2014 shark fin antenna? I looked for the location by the drivers side kick panel where my 2010 connected but found nothing. I have the Lexus GS Shark Fin Antenna Adapter sfa12m.

    Thank in advance..

I hope someone knows the answer to this, I plan on my install being this weekend...
Maybe we can run the cable directly to the Shark fin...

Did my complete aftermarket install today did not find any obvious locations for the Sirius antenna. And still looking for an adapter for the back up camera.

I'm pretty sure I figured out the Sirius XM antenna plug "CHANGE"...

Looks like the plug allows for the HD Radio wire, the Sirius XM wire and the Nav wire (missing on mine).

Looks like there will be no easy adaption to use the stock shark fin Antenna.

I found the same thing was just not sure.Looks like they both run up to the head unit location and are separated at the point of attachment. I will do a continuity test tomorrow and see if I can not get a signal.

I believe the one behind the HU with the black and white connector is the Sirius XM cable, I believe...

I thought about taking the connector apart to potentially connect it directly to the SCC1. When I looked at the connector I realized that the white core insulation is a different diameter than what the SCC1 will accept. Another opportunity dashed...LOL

I used the black connector and it works.I had to cut and splice though.Just took an old Sirius antenna I had and stripped and crimped.

Good deal! I really don't want to cut any of the factory connectors or harnesses so I routed the aftermarket Sirius antenna through the 3rd brake light...it is sitting directly behind the shark fin. I really don't like it but it isn't too bad.

I was looking at this now that I am about to replace my entune nav (always in search of better sound). I am going to try taking the antenna wire out of the plug and use a 5 foot antenna extension to bring it up to the radio. We shall see what happens this weekend.
