Hi All, I just finished making a custom 10" sub box for a shallow mount sub in my 2011 Tacoma. I thought I would post the specs. for the box to help out others that may want to build a similar box.

A few differences from what I actually did compared to the sketches attached were that I made the box 30" long to get the extra sub volume, but I found it to be a very tight fit. With 30" long the volume is basically 0.6 cu ft which was the min for the sub I have. Using 29 or even 29-1/2" would be better. You can tweak the volume depending on how you mount the amp and the size of the amp. I also increased the 3-1/4" vertical dimension to be 3-1/2" and then adjusted the 5-3/4" to be 5-1/2" after re-measuring.

I ended up having to remove the plastic backing on the passenger seat and I pinned up my seat covers so there is plenty of room for sub excursion. There were no permanent modifications to the truck made so that I could restore it to a factory condition if I wanted too.

    Enjoy!

It's the Thunder FPR10-02 I think it sounds pretty good. I've never had a 10" or a shallow mount Sub, but it surprisingly packs a good punch when it needs too and adds good bass to any kind of music. In my old car I had a 12" kicker and a 12" rockford punch p2 (at two different times) running off the same amp . I'd say the mtx is better than the kicker I had but not quite as good as the punch p2.
