    Nope it solid, there is a lip on the left and right sides that keep it from falling out along with the connector once i finish it up

    I bought a slider kit from Fifeildfab.com and this is where thinking outside of the box came from. I wanted it to be removable and still be able to charge it. I cut out the end of it, made a couple slits and shot it with the heat gun so I was able to bend it outwards so the ipad would have enough room to pivot backwards to pop out when pressed on the right side.

    I don't have any pics of the cutting fitting of the dash kit. It was kind of a pain in the ass since the dash kit has a curve to it. I didnt want to use a ton of body filler and wanted to make it appealing to the eye when looking at it. With that I had to flatten it out some and that repostioned the mounting points causing the clock to sit higher and not flush.
