    Few of my friends are wired up with scanners in their trucks for police fire and ems. I have been playing with the idea too. I was wondering if anyone has a scanner wired in their truck. If so any pics or descriptions would be great also what kind of hardware you are all using. Thanks in advance

    you won't get the secure LEO channels unless you mod/hack the scanner

    there are phone apps for this

    I looked into it, and would still like one... but to get one that does all the fancy shit you need to do on our local systems was something like 500 dollars, and a real head ache to program. I still would like one, but I'm not ready to jump in that deep yet.

    Lol. I actually do police fire ems dispatch for a living. Also volly for ems service. So radio talk always interest me

    Ug, every time i hear a mic key my sphincter spasms :laugh: Every now and then ill be somewhere that has a scanner running and ill hear dispatch calling my old badge number, still gets my attention,
