Handsfree Microphone Question

I recently bought a 2011 Tacoma TRD and I'm having problems with the handsfree microphone. I'm guessing the head unit is some sort of aftermarket head unit (pictured below, not mine just a picture I found its too cold outside to go out and snap a pic). My phone connects but when I try to make/answer a call it says no mic connected. I found what I think is the stock microphone where the mirror meets the headliner. I traced the wires to the back of the head unit and seem to be wired in. Before I start tearing things apart more I need to know. 1. Will the stock mic work with the headunit? 2. Does anyone have a wire diagram that shows what each plug/wire does (Need to know if the guy before me did it right)?

 

Don't know about the mic part, but that is a factory Toyota head unit.

 

You have a 2011 truck with a 2012+ stock HU. They are not compatible and need to be re-wired for some things to work correctly.

Does any one know of any sites to find wiring diagrams. I took my head unit out and see where they spliced things into wiring harnesses but there is also a whole wiring harness not plugged in at all. Sound Right?
