I hate the factory radio so I know a guy who installs radios and he said there is a deal going on for a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT. Does anyone have this unit? It has navigation and bluetooth. I can get it for 599 dollars. Installed with Ipod and steering wheel controls 1100 dollars. Thanks in advance

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
the extra $500 for install and ipod cable/wheel controls is WAY too much for that unit. u can easily do the install in 30 mins. get the dash kit, ipod cable, and pioneer steering wheel controls urself. ebay has all of them. i dont think thats a bad price for the HU itself, but the install is oober simple in these trucks.

Thanks but when it gets to electronics I am all thumbs. I am a retired plumber so shit does not bother me but electronics scare the hell out of me. I have run many a gas line and had customers were freaked that I had no fear of running gas piping I would just tell them I can smell gas I cannot smell electricity.
I do want to thank you for your response. As always TW comes through

Thanks for the suggestions but I have never opened my dash and like an idiot I already paid to have the Ipod interface and BluLogic installed by dealer:frusty::frusty::frusty: Yeah I blew a few bucks but I may be able to sell old radio on Ebay. Yet reading that some factory radios act funny I would not want to screw anyone. At least I have an excuse as I am old. Just turned 60:cheers:

    Too few to list.
usual radio instal price in most shop is $40. With the extras, I would say no more than $80. Shop around.

thats too much for the AVIC 700... I got a 900BT +ipod cable with new speakers installed all the way around for $1100. theres a site called 6th aveneu or somethin like that.. they have the best prices. Show your installer the website and he should be able to match the prices. Crutchfield.com is also a great deal, they tell you all the parts you need and even give some kind of install instruction. Or check the DIY stereo install on these forums. I think you will end up not being fully pleased with the 700, so get the 900 or the 90 if you can find them. Here is a site for AVIC owners... www.avic411.com do your homework :)

    good luck
