    you will be fine with 8AWG. make sure you fuse at the battery - 60 Amp fuse should be enough.

    Let me know how you like the amp. I have an old JL 4 channel amp that is slowly dying. I only need 2 channels for the Tacoma. I want to purchase an amp in the next week or so.

    I've been planning on this amp as well for the tacoma. Thinking just to run it off the stock HU speaker inputs and send it to two 6x9's and call it a day

    Might as well run some 4 gauge wire just incase you want to upgrade later down the road.
