Hey Taco World! I've been reading through the forum for a couple of months and found a lot of useful info, but I've got a bit of a problem.

I just mounted my cb antenna to the rear of my bed just above the tail light. I'm running my cable behind the left tail light under the truck along the frame and back up into the engine compartment, then through the firewall. Problem is that with an 18' coax cable I'm about 2 feet away from reaching my cb. I have just enough to get the cable past the grommet in the firewall. To reach the cb I'm going to need a couple more feet. The cb's mounted where the ash tray once was. Any advice?

I ran mine the same way and I have a dclb so the 18' ended just outside the fire wall. I got a female x female connecter, hooked on another 9' cable and ran to the cb. Ive been told by multiple people that its too much but guess what... I can hear people and they can hear me over my radio so I guess its really not too much is it. Haha. Has worked for me for the past 2 years. Just my 2cents
