Does anyone know where I can find the name/harness that connects the factory 2012+ console mic to the 8/28 pin connector? I have a pre 2012 that wasn't wired for this. Thanks.

I'm looking for the harness or just the female connector part number at the MIC too.

I have that part. I'm looking for the wiring harness that would connect that part to the head unit. Having the microphone part number is helpful though. Thanks!

    Thanks, Roland!
This is what I have from a auto wrecker. It's the panel between the map lights, microphone and a bit of wiring harness. I would need to find the other end that plugs into the back of the radio and the pin configuration to be able to make my own wiring harness. Any assistance would be great!

    Denis,
Your lucky you were able to find the MIC with the connector plus a pigtail that you only have to splice to.
    Saves a lot of searching.
Connector part number 90980-12551 at the radio.
You can order online or request a sample plus the pins from TE.
I dont recall the pin's part number. If I find them, I'll post it here.
Also I notice you have a 08, I have a 06 and had to change the overhead console for the MIC. That piece was solid and not removable.
You may be able to modify to make it work. (cut and glue).
Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Roland, you're the MAN!
    Who is TE?
I'll check with my local dealer and see about the part number (and pins). Then I would only need the pin configuration, which a photo of the connector showing the wire colors would provide.

Roland, you were correct about the overhead console. That piece is not removable in mine either. I'm not willing to try cutting it out at this point so I guess I will use the mic that I bought until I might find another console. Thanks for all your help!

There was someone on here that used a dremel to cut the slots in the console and attached then mic inside.

    Hey Kenny,
I posted the part numbers for the connectors if you want to build your own harness from the MIC to the radio.
Wasn't hard with the help from the various forums.

Got it installed today with little trouble. The biggest problem was getting the hazard/clock assembly out of the old head unit.

Is there not any way to use the existing mic in the truck. If it worked with the 12 HU why can't we use it on an OE touch screen?

What if someone already had the existing mic like the OP has. How can you use it?

I just bought the Scion mic for my Entune conversion but want to use the factory one in the console as you are doing. One thing I couldnt help but notice is the Scion mic has four leads on its plug while the one in the pic appears to only have two?

Also, that TE site is interesting. How can you cross a particular connector over to one in their catalog? Is there an application guide?

Hey Mike did you get the Scion mic to work? What I found strange is that the male connector on the mic will plug into the 20 to 28 pin adapter. When I saw that I assumed my factory mic would work when I plugged everything in. It doesn't.

    Scion mic.

Same connector that plugs into the 20 to 28 adapter.

20 to 28 pin adapter. You can see the female connector that the mic plugs into.
