I was wondering if anyone has modified a 12" solo baric behind the seat of the DBL cab 2014 Tacoma pre-runner, I would like to make a custom box but not sure it will meet the specs. I'm more for sound quality and don't mind having
the box sealed as the music I listen doesn't necessarily have deep base requirement. NOT for competition but for pleasure. I plan to upgrade the other speakers and the head unit but a friend gave me the solo baric and would like to see if anyone had installed them before.

    Thank you-

what's the required mounting depth for your solobaric? it seems the max depth you can obtain with standard construction and 0.75" MDF is ~5.5". you can get more if you use creative means - fiberglass, back wall as one side of enclosure, etc.

Yes I do, the speaker was given to me.. If it doesn't fit, I would probably just give the speaker to my son. I'm no rush for the sound system.. I'll break the stocks first :)

Did you ever find out about your solo baric custom box? I am actually in the same boat. I just have one solo baric and looking to see if its possibly to fit it. Thanks!

I am going to try to figure out how to fit a L5 solobaric 8 and that is tough I doubt the 12 will fit without getting crazy with a box

Absolutely no way that is going back there. I was barely able to fit a 12" comp rt (shallow mount)

Mounting depth alone is nearly 7"
then ¾" MDF because that's a beast of a sub

    Not a chance

Plus, it would not have near enough air space to sound right.
This is the 12” in the spec’d Enclosure
