Hey there, I'm new to this forum but the reading that Ive done here has already made me aware of many of the possibilities for the Tacoma! I really like tis site and intend to be here for a while. With that said I decided to to a CB antenna install on my 09 Double Cab. I have a remote mount Cobra radio going in soon (when I find time) and I'll do another write up on that when it's done.

What I have is a 4" Firestick and a moulded body mount. I decided to mount it in the bed out of the way. I think it's a good spot as it looks good and is out of the way. There was just enough room for it where I put it. The mount is grounded to the frame. I hope it works well as there is at least 30" of antenna sticking above the cab. I ran the cable under the truck in a split loom and ran it into the cab through one of the rubber plugs...it runs to just under the dash by the factory radio.

Let me know what you guys think.

    That's a nice setup.

Mine is almost the same. I still transmit a good distance with a 2 ft. firestick (and it fits in my garage).
