Decent stereo under $100

Hey guys,

I'm on a tight budget, and I've been looking into stereos for a while now. I need some suggestions for a decent stereo that'll work with my iPod, and that is under $100. Any ideas?

 

u want something brand new? Or will used work out?

 

Preferably brand new, if that'll work out.

 

I put a $99.00 Pioneer in my daughter's Corolla 4 years ago and it still sounds great. It's no frills, but it does the job.

 

Nice! Do you have a link? Would it fit in my Taco?

Also, just to clear things up, the stereo doesn't have to be awesome, just one that'll play my iPod and mabye a bit better than the stock one. Detachable faceplate would be nice too.

 

I got an Alpine cda 9884 last august and it is awesome. The ipod cable is perment, don't need any adapter or extra cables. It also gives you full control of the ipod with the head unit and has a very nice EQ system so you can tweak the found quality. It is great if you ever want to add an amp or subs (it has a few pre amp outs and a subwoofer control)

 

Ok I just checked the major retailers sites and it discontinued. On other sites is it about 2-3x what i paid for it lol

The DEH-11E doesn't do iPod control.
You'll need to step up to at least the DEH-2100IB for that.

 

You can play an IPOD on the DEH 11E, but your are right, you can't control it. Aux input only.
