This is my first post on this forum & I need some help!

I swapped out the 2008 Toyota factory CD player that came with my Tacoma with a friends 2009 Toyota factory CD/MP3/WMA-SAT compatible radio. The new radio works fine but now I want to add SAT radio via the new stereo if possible. From what I have read on this site I do NOT have the factory prewired SAT antenna to connect to.

Is it possible to install a SAT antenna along with the SAT radio receiver/harness and if so what parts will I need?

    Thanks
    Scott

Thanks for the info. From what I could tell the parts would cost about $200.00.
Does this sound correct? Do you know which specific part numbers I will need?

    Thanks again for the help!

Hey man, question about your 09 radio swap. Was it just plug and play to put your 09 radio into your 08 truck? Or did you have to do something special? Thanks

It was just plug and play. I had no instructions at the time so I just felt around and popped the a/c controls off. I then saw the 4 bolts holding the radio in and I unscrewed them and unplugged the old radio and put the new one in and plugged it in. I tested it before I bolted it back in.

NO problems whatsoever & it only took 10 minutes.

Now I just need some help getting the SAT function going!

Are you able to hook up your Ipod and control it from the radio?

No. You can plug it into the aux input though, but you still need to control through the ipod.
