Based on everything I've read and researched you either need the adaptors or prepare to be creative on your own. As for the speakers I recommend Pioneer, they sound good and are priced competively. The last set of Pioneers I bought lasted longer than the truck. Of course if your looking to go more high end JL Audio and Polk are my recomendations. Let us know what you choice and how they sound.

I called Crutchfield and talked to a guy names Earl... seemed very knowledgable and he reccomended the Boston Acoustic S65RC 6-1/2"
He said that if i bought sepakers from them both 6 1/2s front and rear they would supply everything from the brackets for mounting and the wires to plug into the factory harness so that no cutting would be needed.

is anyone running these??

You can't go wrong with Crutchfield, I've been buyin from them for 12 years now. It's nice to hear they have all the mount hardware, the website was a little behind on this. As for the Boston's, can't help you but maybe someone else has been running them.

I know someone with Bostons in his dodge calibre, stock speakers and they sound great. A low end Boston is better than most. The ones you are looking at are their lowest priced ones and I'd imagine they will sound great. Remember to keep your factory tweeter installed though.

these are stupid nice! CA&E just did a review on these and they scored an 80 out of 100, which is incredible even for $800 speakers coming from them and considering these retail for $220 and you can get them for basically $100....AWESOME. Of course you will have to buy the adapters as well and you can get those from Tacotunes or Mr Marv here on the forums. Another highly nice set of components are the Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5's, they are on Ebay right now and scored a review of 77/100, awesome drivers as well. Good luck in your search!
