    I'm hooked up but I can only get the MODE button to program. All other buttons say "Error, try again". I'll have to take it apart and double check everything.

    And you have pin 6 hooked to a ground? I had the same issue when I first wired everything. I forgot to screw my ground down.

    It is nice having the steering wheel controls again.

    Finally I got it. Pin 7 was purple and white and there is also a violet and white. So when it came out of that piece of tape, I mixed it up. Programed in a couple seconds and its all good.
    Now I'm going to work on mounting the USB port and hooking up the AUX port.

    That's great! I was thinking of hooking up the aux as well since it's all on that same harness but I don't think it would ever get used. I will probably replace the aux in dash piece with a plastic blank. As for the USB, I just routed the cable into the center console. The USB end will just squeeze through the anchor flap hole for that net that fits inside. I then made a little 3 inch iPod dongle. I think you said you don't have an iPod so that would be sweet to integrate a USB connector into the bump out beside the aux in.

    Finally I had the time to mount the USB port. I cut the blank out with a dremmel and used some epoxy to secure the USB cable in it. I also hooked up the AUX port. I took the guts out of the factory AUX port and used a solder part from Radio Shack. The hardest part was getting to this spot in the dash. I think they built the truck around it.

    I wired it up this way, but only the source/mode button is recognized. Originally I had the white/red wire tapped into the parking brake wire (which is grounded). That did not work so I move it to its own ground, a bolt down next to the gas pedal. Still no dice.

    Did the directions I sent you not work out? That should get it going no problem. That's how I did mine.

    here is a photo of the aftermarket harness that connects the plug coming out of the truck to the harness that comes with your head-unit. you can splice the wires from the truck harness if you don't have an aftermarket harness, it just makes things easier and without making changes to the truck harness.

    here is the eclipse install manual... super simple- connect 3 wires (splice or use an adapter) if you splice, connect the ground to the main ground on the other Eclipse harness, if you use an adapter harness connect the black to the black/main ground on the other Eclipse harness but you MUST connect all 3 wires.

    Truck Harness => Eclipse Harness
    White/Red => Ground or Black
    Black/Yellow => Brown
    Purple/White => Brown/Black
