    Wow, and oldie but goody thread. Very simple, just take the wire in the JVC harness that is supposed to be connected to the Tacoma's parking brake circuit and connect it directly to ground. Then the JVC will think the parking brake is on all the time.

    Beware that this enables a whole lot of functions like dvd video playback and GPS address entry, that you really shouldn't do whilst moving. But accessing the phonebooks isn't too bad.
