Bluetooth through speakers

Has anyone hooked up a bluetooth device that receives the caller through the speakers (like a Parrot CK3100 or equivalent)? I'm curious as to a) how is the quality and b) is it easy to install?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 660 that tranmits through the speakers. It's actually an FM transmitter to the radio to the speakers.

I wasn't able to find a channel that was quiet enough to use it without having static and interferance. You could use it, but it sounded like crap and hard to understand what the person was saying. And hard for them to understand you. So - I don't use it. Anytime you have FM tranmitting, you take the chance of interference. It probably all depends on where you live.

I wouldn't necessarily blame the unit.... It can only work as good as the FM modulation/reception that you have in your area. If you have a lot of interference or a lot of channels - you'll have a problem finding a clear bandwidth to use. It's the same reason why FM modulation for ipods aren't the best either.... it depends on where you live.

this is my first post. Since I have installed the parrot I thought i would give you a little input. I have put the parrot in 2 vehicles. one a mazda 6s and a mazda 3s I love them in both. Just have to be carefull were you put the mic. the sound through the speakers is great excellent. I plan on installing it on my 06 taco. The price isn't too bad if you get it off of Ebay which i did for both. I did go to the parrot web and order the adapter cables. For my 6 the cost was 150. for the 3 it was around 60. The added cost for the 6 was because it has the Bose system in it. You can adjust the sound while in a conversation. The mic adjustment you can't you have to adjust it while not in a call. I mounted the unit in the center console and the head unit on the center console. the unit is small so you can put it almost anywhere in the car. the cables are long enough. I mounted the mic in the overhead unit. the nice thing about these units is that they are software upgradable, which means that they continue to support it.. all you need is a laptop with bluetooth capability.

The installation is simple plug and play it uses the power coming to the radio. If you want to splice it yourself you can. but i do recommend purchasing the adapter kit. You simply unplug the radio plug in the adapter kit plug in the vehicle cables into the the adapter kit and your are ready to roll. of course you have to pair your phone to it.
I have the 3100.

I have the Garmin nuvi 350 which is bluetooth capable and a USA-Spec dual aux input. I have one input going to the Garmin and use the other for my ipod.
My phone isn't bluetooth so I can't say how it sounds but the Garmin sounds great. I do have a bluetooth phone on the way but at last check the Garmin was fairly limited in compatible bluetooth devices. I'll have to play with it and see if I can get it to work. My phone should be here today.

It works

Downloaded new bluetooth firmware for the Garmin, it found my new phone and they work great. Just tried it out in the truck.
