Factory Speaker Wattage

Does anyone know the wattage rating of the factory (non JBL) speakers in an '08? I am installing a JVC KW-NX7000BT head unit and it says if my speakers are rated at 50w or less, I need to switch a setting in the unit to lower the power to keep from blowing the speakers.

Can anyone help here? I am searching all over the place and can only find the wattage of the factory radio. Nothing on the speakers.

you'll be fine. I've been running mine the way i want for almost a year and no issues. If you've had aftermarket speakers before run from an amp, don't expect that kind of volume.

 

Don't need volume. In fact, the factory radio was loud enough and sounded good to me. Not much of an audiophile here. Just don't want to blow these factory speakers with my more powerful head unit. It has a setting to prevent that and I just want to make sure I set it correctly.

 

I have been less than conservative with my volume at times and for the most part, i keep the volume at what i consider comfortable. its when you crank the volume you send more power to the speakers thus making them "blow"
